Chilled berries with white chocolate sauce

This is a very simple recipe from The Ivy restaurant in London.  It’s catching on fast in the UK and is starting to spread to quite a few restaurants.  Next time you’re in London why not pop into The Ivy and order a sweet treat after lunch – or make it yourself! Ingredients

4 c
Fresh berries (I used strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries)
7 oz
white chocolate (I used Ghirardelli)
1 c
Heavy cream
1 t
vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Place parchment paper on baking sheet, scatter berries on top and place in freezer for one hour
2. During this time, make the white chocolate sauce by heating the heavy cream in a saucepan
3. When it’s close to a boil, remove from heat and add white chocolate. Cover with lid and let it melt in, mixing it well from time to time until sauce is smooth
4. When ready to serve, divide berries among 4 dessert bowls. Reheat white chocolate sauce and pour into bowls.
